What's On News Remembering with Poppies to Paddington On Tuesday 11 November, we were honoured to once again join in the tradition of presenting a wreath to the 'Poppies to Paddington' train. Started in November 2020, Poppies to Paddington has since become a key annual event to honour those lost in past and present conflicts. In partnership with The Veterans Charity, wreaths were placed on early-morning train services from over 60 stations, arriving at Paddington for the Remembrance Day service. This year, more than 250 wreaths were laid at the war memorial on Platform 1. Our Museum Assistant, Abigail Sirrell, attended on the museum's behalf at Chippenham Railway Station to present a wreath to be taken to London Paddington Station in London. This year, we were delighted to have been graced with the presence of Her Majesty The Queen on the platform at Chippenham, who then travelled on the train to London Paddington to attend the Armistice Day service.
